In this 1h30 long course we will explore all the degradation mechanisms responsible for preperty loss in Injection Molding.We will look in details at how excessive shear can create either mechanical or thermal problems, depending on geometrical details. When it comes to chemical changes we will explore in details the effect of moisture on molecular weight changes in the barrel. Given the important role of fiber length on performance of GF filled compound, we will also examine the fiber breakage mechanisms un a shear flow.
