Course content

This is part II of the Rheology of Injection Molding course and it specifically adresses visco-elasticity. Although viscoelastic phenomena may seem to play a minor role in I.M., as confirmed by decades of simulation based on purely viscous models,it turns out that certain important phenomena, in particular shrinkage anisotropy (and therefore warpage) of unfilled materials can only be explained by viscoelastic related phenomena. Since not everyone is a rheologist, we will take the time to visit Dynamic Rheology to illustrate how such important lab test can provided some of the needed viscoelastic data
