Course content

This is part III of the Rheology for Injection Molding series and it is devoted to filled polymers. In this 2 hours long course we will look at the effect of fillers on viscosity as well as the corresponding consequences in terms of flow during molding. The "Bingham" behavior of filled polymers will be described in details and we will show how this rheological signature affects the skin-core structure development. Although the course focuses on rheological aspects, we will look also at how fiber orientation affects warpage of parts molded with gf filled materials.

Most topics from Parts 1 & 2 (Both great courses) were familiar but Part 3 exposed me to issues I was not aware of. You can also find some very useful tips.
